Kyra is a San Francisco-based photographer, documentarian, writer and artist. She uses digital and analog mediums to capture her subjects, as well as a range of mixed media for illustrations and commission work.
After an adventurous pursuit of her bachelor’s degree, Kyra moved from Massachusetts to California, where she went on to explore the field of journalism with the intention of honing her written and visual storytelling skills. She wrote, photographed, designed and edited for City College of San Francisco’s student newspaper and magazine, where she eventually earned a certificate in photojournalism.
With a background in the natural sciences and years of work in agriculture, Kyra writes about climate, health, food and policy.
